Olivia in Motion
A triptik of my beautiful niece Olivia. I took these photos in her backyard, edited them together and had it printed and framed for her mother as a Christmas gift.

Old Christmas photos

Grandpa Love!
I had been archiving old family photos into digital when I originally came across these. I just recently came across them again and thought I should post them. They’re Christmas photos from 1982… I think. The first picture (above) is my sister, Meghan, kissing my grandfather (Mother’s father) with my Grandmother, me and my mother in the background. My brother Brady’s there somewhere. It’s funny – memories of my grandfather aren’t moments like this but of fearful encounters where he barked orders and expressed his prickly disappointment. Seeing this photo helped remind me of times where he was a very warm and caring man. Without this photo I think I would have completely forgotten that side of him. Why do our memories perverse the past like that? An unfair outcome of growing old maybe? Or maybe it says more about me than anything else? Either way – I’m so glad I have this photo to bring my grandfathers “good stuff” back into perspective.

Brady, me, and Meghan
The second photo (above) is of my brother Brady, me (middle), and sister Meghan next to the old plastic tree at my grandparents house. It just makes me laugh for some reason… maybe because whoever took the picture must have had too much Nogg. I mean – we got half of my brother on one side and half of a lamp on the other! What the hell! Too funny. Anyway, my sister looks so adorable and it reminds me of the fun my brother and I had growing up. Good times.
Painting: Scituate, MA
These are color sketches I did for a commissioned painting of Scituate, MA. In the end the client chose the second sketch (the one with the tall grass in the foreground). I really enjoyed this project and they loved the finished piece. I’ll see if I can find a picture of it. If I do – I’ll post it here as well.

Liam & Olivia
One of my favorite photos of Liam my 3 year old son. We were at an old amusement park in Salem, Massachusetts when I took this photo with a simple Sony point and shoot camera. Just a colorful setting with the right light.
